Putting people at the center of design is a deeply held value. Co-design, where researchers and creatives work together throughout the development process, is my favorite kind of hard work. I've worked with PBS KIDS, Digital Promise, WGBH, and The Jim Henson Company as a researcher in bringing user voice into the development equation.
I am currently working with a co-design group of parents at PBS KIDS, to surface priorities and create meaningful resources around social emotional learning and character education.
Conducted observations, both in preschool classrooms and students’ homes (in-person and virtual), on implementation across digital applications and lessons plans, both in full-group and one-on-one settings
Entered and coded observation data, noting design recommendations for production team of eight lesson plans and four apps teaching science standards
Co-developed survey, think-aloud protocol, and interview instruments for data collection
Across 3 PBS stations, conducted interviews of families in relation to Splash and Bubbles content.
Analyzed data for recommendations for future design by the Jim Henson Company.
